Evans Scholar
The Evans Scholars Program is sponsored by the Western Golf Association Evans Scholars Foundation in association with 500 member clubs (including Roaring Fork Club). The Evans Scholars Foundation (ESF) is a charitable trust which provides undergraduate scholarships to deserving caddies. Founded in 1899, the Western Golf Association (WGA) has administered the program since its inception in 1930. The ESF is the largest individually supported scholarship program in the world. With 26,000 members contributing at least $250 annually, WGA’s Par Club is the major source of support for the ESF. There are nearly 900 Evans Scholars enrolled currently in college and approximately 10,000 Evans Alumni. Each candidate must pass a rigorous review which includes evidence of: demonstrated financial need, excellent academics, a strong caddie record and outstanding character.
All Roaring Fork Club members contribute to the annual Evans Scholar fund.
